concept and Philosophy

We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” ― Arthur O’Shaughnessy

The New Horizons Tampa group subscribes to the national philosophy of the New Horizons International Music Association founded by Roy Ernst in 1991. Ernst believed that “anyone can learn to play music at a level that will bring a sense of accomplishment and the ability to perform in a group.”

Our New Horizons group  is an important part of the cultural life of the community by giving formal concerts, performances in shopping malls, retirement and nursing homes, and summer concerts in parks.
